[IBM Research] sHype. Una nova arquitectura de seguretat, basada en visors de seguretat multicapa... M'ho haig de mirar amb més calma per mirar d'entendre-ho.
In the open source community, we have developed a small security extension to Xen, an open-source hypervisor. It allows administrators to define simple policies (currently: Chinese Wall and Type Enforcement) that govern the control and sharing capabilities of Virtual Machines that run simultaneously on a single Xen system. We have also explored implementing these security architecture features in the open-source Research hypervisor rHype, with Linux running inside the Virtual Machines.

High-Performance Packet Recording for Network Intrusion Detection.
We describe the design and implementation of a packet recording system allowing for classication of trafc, class differentiated storage in RAM and on disk for user congurable periods of time, and indexing and retrieval of stored packet data. We designed an interface to the Open-Source NIDS Bro and give examples of conguration of the prototypic implementation to run in a production environment on a fairly high-loaded 1 Gbit/s Internet link of a large university network.
