  • Use the features of your operating system
  • Use the BIOS password
  • Your laptop's serial numbers
  • Use some form of permanent marking on the laptop
  • Use the manufacturer's registration scheme
  • Use the manufacturer's registration scheme

Early in the 19th century, the need for speed, simplicity, and economy in book production led to the introduction of cloth as a binding material and casing as a binding process. These developments, in conjunction with technological advances in the printing industry, led directly to the rise of the publishers' bookbindings: i.e., bindings designed for and manufactured in quantity for a publisher.

The need for speed, simplicity, and economy in book production led to the introduction of cloth as a binding material and casing as a binding process. The dress fabrics silk and velvet had been used sporadically in binding but lacked durability and were expensive. In the early 1820s, the English publisher William Pickering introduced edition bindings in cloth.

IT Conversations ha publicat dos interessants podcasts, que us recomano escoltar.F-Secure

F-Secure is one of the leading companies devoted to the study and prevention of computer viruses, spam, and other types of malware. Mikko Hypponen, the company's Director of Anti-Virus Research, joins Phil and Scott in a discussion of the current status of the virus problem. In addition to reviewing his background, Mikko talks about how new viruses are studied and offers suggestions on how to better protect average users, who are still affected, even with constant warnings.

Caterina Fake, co-founder of Flickr, tells the story of how "fortuitous ignorance" and great timing helped give birth to the seminal Web 2.0 app, Flickr. As Fake's company Ludicorp was in the throes of watching the failure of its only product, the tiny development team took a stab at creating one last feature for the game: a social photosharing component. Fake tells all, including how integral user input was to Flickr's development, and why social interaction was always Flickr's central goal.
