[News.com] Microsoft to hunt for new species of Windows bug. Microsoft anuncia que analitzarà el seu codi font per identificar possibles vulnerabilitats semblants a la vulnerabilitat WMF. A més a més, modificarà la seva metodologia de desenvolupament per evitar problemes semblants en el futur.

[ZDNet] ISPs told to help eradicate Sober. F-Secure demana als ISP que apliquin filtres per reduir l'impacte que té Sober.
"ISPs: we urge you to check your user traffic patterns. Locate the users that produce an unlikely large amount of constant hits to people.freenet.de, scifi.pages.at, home.pages.at, free.pages.at and home.arcor.de. Contact these users and let them know they are likely to be infected with Sober and they should clean up their act," F-Secure said on its blog.
Per si us serveix de referència, la màquina de Softcatalà durant les últimes vint-i-quatre hores ha rebut 13.285 missatges amb còpies de Sober, representant 300 MB. Softcatatlà té un tràfic relativament petit, així que feu números i us adonareu de la importància del problema.

SploitCast, the podcast for hackers, geeks, and the security paranoid. We are a group of students and IT professionals that have decided to start a downloadable talk show.
